APPLICATION DETAILS FOR POWDER COLORANTS
Available in 11 Standard Colors
DIRECTIONS: For all applications, sample boards should be done by contractors before starting a job.
Carefully open container. Using gloves, dip a small, DRY grout sponge into Powder Colorant. Rub the Powder onto a COMPLETELY DRIED Texture Coat. Powder Colorants work extremely well on Overlay Aggregate (Stamped Texture Coats), but can be used on all Texture Coats (regular Aggregate.) Use this Powder sparingly. Coverage Rate is up to 1000 sq. ft. per 5 lb. container, depending on application. A thin layer of Powder Colorant should be on the entire deck surface. If the Powder is caked in areas, use a leaf blower to blow off excess. However, do not blow off all of the Powder. Next, seal with Preferred Deck Southwest Seal or High Gloss Sealer. Clear Coat Sealer is NOT suggested for this application.
For a modeled effect, use one Powder Colorant as a base color and another color (or two) to highlight. The first color you apply will be the most prominent. DO NOT use dark colors first, unless you want the deck to be very dark. Again, use sample boards first to achieve the desired effect.
Follow instructions on the Powder Colorant label and review the MSDS Sheet. If you have questions regarding this product, contact Preferred Deck at 888.440.3320.
